Lance Stephenson - Deveroes League

A few people were reporting that Lance would be in town beginning sometime this week. Does anyone know if he is expected to play at Woodward tomorrow or Saturday?

Nothing confirmed but the rumors are flying. Parker will probably play Sunday for sure. If Lance does not play this weekend he should be playing next week I imagine. Woodward will be a zoo.

1. Why would Parker "probably" play on Sunday?

2. Is there any reason Lance wouldn't play in Devoroes?

I can think of a few, but none of them have to do with eligibility or waiting to get through the NCAA Clearinging House.

3. If Lance is playing the papers and media outlets will be all over this. Expect a packed house, and a great show.

He probably is playing Sunday because he is arriving here either Saturday or Sunday. I would imagine if he gets here later in the day on Sunday that he would not play. That is why I said probably.

There's one potential problem with our ability to see Lance or JaQuon in the DSL. As it stands right now, the Slats kids sit in 9th place out of ten teams. Only eight make the playoffs, and the regular season ends Sunday.

If Slats fails to move up over the next three games, and if neither UC recruit makes it into town in time, then the only hope would be for the league director, Dennis Bettis, to place them on playoff teams.

Let's hope it doesn't come to that.

yes on question #2. only 2 returning players from the same college per team (at least for uc and xu...not sure about miami and nku because it always seems like there are teams that are 100% comprised of those guys)

as for slats, uc recruits historically always play for them. i am not sure if that is a written agreement, or if slats people are ucats, or what...but year in and year out, slats is the "uc recruits team" + a few returning uc players + others to fill out the roster obviously.

Actually, the only current Bearcats on Slats are Gates and Dixon. Kilpatrick, being the only recruit who's been in town, plays for them also. The rest of the team is pretty mediocre. Anthony McBride (Gates' Withrow teammate and current Walsh College player) isn't half bad, but the others aren't much help.

No, it should not worry you. They rarely play together b/c one or two are missing each week. It has been a strange summer for guys missing. Not a big deal. If Parker and Stephenson are here in time to play in the DSL, they will play.

Sorry, but I don't understand how the **** the NCAA would have any say in who plays in a summer basketball league. They don't have that much power do they? And what do you mean by "cleared by the NCAA?" Do you mean NCAA eligible? If that's the case, there are plenty of ex-UC players who participate who don't have any NCAA eligibility left. Or if you mean the NCAA can restrict NCAA players from participating in summer league games, well, Stephenson isn't an NCAA player yet since he has yet to be ruled eligible. So, either way, I don't get how you would think they have any say.

Conveniently I posted that on BCL's premium board 20 minutes before you posted it on here. I'd be curious to find out if you know the class, what building it is in, the teachers name, etc. Then again i wouldn't be shocked to find out you don't know any of that because this wouldn't be the first time you were caught stealing information from over there.

I have cancelled all subscriptions to BCL. Also I have communicated with Todd through e-mail and he explained why I was blacklisted. That was fine. I am over it.

I have zero access to BCL. I never posted things on BCN from there. Never, but that is why I was blacklisted. The real reason is because I told them I should be paid for doing their job and posted common information over here that someone must have felt was premium.

I'm all for you posting whatever info it is that you have over here, but stop stealing info from people and passing it off like it is yours. if that truly is your information you shouldnt have any issue finding out what building the class is in, the # of students in the class, the insturctors name, etc. I can provide all that information to the people of this board in order to prove that I got that info from a source in the class. Can you do the same and prove that you're not just sponging off what i posted over there? I'm not here to pimp BCL, but literally every piece of worthwhile info you have posted on here was posted on BCL prior to your posting of it here. This site used to be a great site for fans to come for bearcat related news and discussion, but now you have to spend too much time wading through crap posts from people like you. You think your antics over here are hurting pay site subscriptions, but in reality they are really driving more and more people over there. If it wasn't for posters like you i would have never left this site to get my UC info. Now that I have i couldn't ever imagine using this site as my sole source of info.

Since you ignored my "challenge" to you (and we all know how much you love challenges) I'll assume you can't produce any of that info which would prove you got the info from someone else besides me and am therefore forced to believe that you stole it from my post on BCL. This is my last post on the issue as bret brings up a great point and I'd hate to take away from the conversation over here. I got it through friends at UC. I dont feel like asking them for all the information and having them ask somebody. I could not name one building at UC and would be lost in their campus.
