This is from cbssportsline.com.

If Notre Dame is indepent, why are they letting them take a Big East bowl bid when they don't qualify for a BCS bowl?

Are they saying Big East can't fill the 6 bids without ND? IMO I don't think ND would win a bid if they played a Big East schedule.

This guy has us going back to Toronto again.

One game and we're predicting bowls? Can't do it.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't ND have to come within one win of the BE selection in the bowl they're stealing? ND's schedule appears nasty, and I don't see their win total coming that close to Rutgers', especially the way they looked vs. GT.

I don't think ND is better than 6-6 this year and could be 5-7

ND could very easily finish 3-9. Road games against Penn State, Michigan, Purdue, UCLA, and Stanford. 0-5 is not hard to imagine, after the way GA Tech just pasted them in South Bend. USC, Mich State, and BC at home. All very losable games (USC is a near certain loss). They really only have 3 easy ones - Air Force, Navy, and Duke.

I don't expect they will lose all 9 of their tough games, but if they don't get a lot better than they were on Saturday, they will. I figure at least 4 losses on the road, and one more at home, so no better than 6-6, with disaster possible.

I'm not really worried about them stealing a Big East bowl bid.
