Last year the Big East was thought to be the worst conference preseason. Then it was accepted that the Big East was better than a least the ACC if not the Big 12.

1 week is not an indication, but the first round went to the Big East on the heels of Michigan loss to a 1AA team, Illinios loss to an underrated Mizzou and Minnesota's home loss to BGSU (Syracuse did lose to a bad, but better Washington team). It will be interesting to follow it throughout the year.

How does the Big East stack up against the Big 10 this year after week 1:

Current teams in top 25:

Big East:
WVU 3
Louisville 8
Rutgers 15

Big Ten:
Wisconsin 3
OSU 12
PSU 14

First week:
Big East 7-1 (.875)
Big 10 8-3 (.727)

Quality wins:

OSU is overrated.
I was watching the Illinois/Mizzou game. We are way better than Illini, I can tell you that.
Not sure about Rutgers at this point. Louisville may move up by end of year. I'd like to see us, or SF, or both move into top 25 by year end.
Keeping in mind that Big10 has 38% more teams, I say BE fairs better this year.
Will be interesting to watch.

Big East quality wins will come when quality teams agree to play us. They're somewhat scared right now. Norman, OK will have a very tough game if not a huge loss to account for next year. their fans will say they have nothing to win and everything to lose.

Will beating Or-uh-Gun count as a quality win?

Did G. Tech get a quality win for beating ND? (I'm thinking not)

Sometimes a quality win is dependent on who is on the schedule. Play and win your schedule, while trying to schedule quality opponents. In the BE, we have a LOT of quality opponents. I think WV fans would say they should run the table, but really only Pitt and UConn are gimmes for them.

Can't wait to rock the house tonight!!!

It all matters what you consider a quaility win and who's rankings you use. I consider quaility win being anyone in the top 50. Unless you are Michigan a top tier team should be able to beat anyone outside the top 50 (note: Cincinnati is 50 in CBS' 120).
