Obviously it's way early, but here's a question for those who have seen practice. When all is said and done does Cash or JP start? I'm hearing glowing remarks about JP and what a surprise he is to people. Physically he seems to have an advantage and I hear he takes better care of the ball. My guess is both will log 20 minutes a game and may be on the floor together some. Cash is a playmaker and better offensively. Thoughts?

Really who knows what Cronin will do this year. He has so many options this year. Something he hasen't had his first three years.
I just hope all the posters that called him a non BEast type player will come out and say how wrong they were on my boy.
JP can play and will get minutes this year, just like all the team will this year. Can you say fresh legs? Get ready to watch this team run and press and it should be fun to watch! :D

It would interesting if they (JP and Cash) split time. One will more than likely get about 25 minutes per game.
Not sure why people would call JP a non BEAST player already, but i bet those are the same types who said the same thing about Stephen Curry prior to college.

I expect to see Cash start. He will be more ready than people think. His speed is an advantage on both sides of the ball. This team should be really good if not special.

From from what I have briefly scene at the srimmage, and if you do your research on JaQuon, I think you see them split time almost evenly at the point. Cash could run with the first first offesive juggernaut, and JP could lead the second wave. Fresh legs all the time. Man, it is nice to have options!

Maybe basketball can take footballs approach and use the "Next Man In" slogan.

assuming all of the reports of them both being awesome, how much of an upgrade has this team made from just last year? to go from a shooting gaurd playing the point to two solid players. this in a ddition to the other obvious addition.
i'm so ready for bball season.

IMO it'll be huge if DV doesn't have to steal any minutes at PG like many were anticipating. He can now devote all his energy to getting open without the ball, and should have noticably fresher legs come crunch time.

I agree. To me the biggest question isn't guard play, it's the depth of the front line. I think with the depth we have on the perimeter this team is going to wear perimeter players down on the opposition this season. All I can say is guys better play D this season because there is somebody behind them that will

My dad went to a practice and was saying that Cash was having a tough time when being guarded by Parker. He said the kid looks pretty tough on d, and also had a great handle on the ball. This was contrary to things some other people had said about him not being a legit PG. I was obviously very pleased to hear it. How's Cash look on d?

I think Cash will start but they playing time should be 60/40 65/35 IMO.

What a great problem to have-multiple skill players. We may at sometimes be in a 3
guard set, so the playing time could be equal. Let's let it play out, pray for no injuries & enjoy a great BB season.

they are both still freshmen, and i think we need to temper our expectations on how well they can effectively run and manage an offense. cash is fast, and parker is physical, but they are still freshmen, and they are not John Wall. There will be a lot of growing pains here- it is the most important position on the court- hands down.

Why is John Wall the exception? He is just as unproven in the college game as our guys.

I've seen Wall play and I've seen Parker play. Parker is no slouch. You will be very surprised with how good Parker is and is going to be. Imagine....... Kentucky and Cincinnati meeting again in the NCAA tourney.....man, can you see it?

AAU and highschool ball are not the same as college when you are going up against men who can have 3 years on you. Not saying he cant be an instant success but the point is, there is no sure thing.

Cal already said that Wall is ahead of Rose at the same point in time.
John Wall is a legit candidate to follow along Beasely and Durant as national player of the year as a freshman. He is that good.
I am very excited for Parker and Wright...I am just saying neither is going to be an all-american this year.
