Man it sure is fun to actually have a team where we can ask this type of question, but why do you think that Jacob Ramsey is not playing more than he has? I sure hope that Kelly gets this kid on the field more because he could be the difference maker in some key Big East games against the top tier. Maybe Kelly is saving him as our "secret weapon".

While he isn't Steve Slaton or Noel Devine from WVU, he is clearly our most explosive RB. That 42 yard TD run against Marshall was amazing with the jumping of the tackler, stiff arm and cut back to the center of the field with all that speed. And remember that he had about a 70 yard awesome TD run called back in the opener against SE Missouri State on a stupid holding penalty.

As a side note, Bradley Glatthaar has been a human battering ram when he gets in the game. It is a blast watching him run people over and drag multiple guys, but I guess there is only one ball to go around after all.

There's 2 reason's why Ramsey not playing much.

1. there are 3 Seniors who worked there butts off to help get UC where they are now.

2. He just moved over from the defense, where Datonio moved him because of the same 3 guys. Still learning.

I'm sure we will see him more as the season progresses.

Let's not forget that he had the freshest set of legs on the field against a defense that was already tired and beaten.

I would agree that it seems like he is earning more playing time...although he had some benefits that the starters did not have.

We'll probably continue to see Ramsey in a series or two in the second half of each game. The seniors are going to get the bulk of the carries but he is going to get experience and get to use his skills. With John Goeble (redshirting this year - his sophomore year) and the talent coming in next year, the position is in good hands for years to come.

His current role suits the team needs just fine. He has burst and is fresh throughout the entire game. His role could and prob. will expand as the season progresses. He's a fresh- man who is learning a new position, so you'd rather see marked improvement over rushing yards/td's. Although a touchdown/big run here a there does not hurt.

actaully, he's a sophomore who was switched to defense last year. He is back as a RB and is proving he belongs
