RSCI "averages" the rankings of 5 or 6 sources to develop its Top 100 list.
Yancy Gates #41 this fall.

Great list! Does this source combine those rankings often?

Typically 3 or 4 times a year.
Summer before senior year. Then fall, winter, and spring during senior year.
I think Cashmere Wright will be on the RSCI list by next spring.

Why, because it lists Cashmere Wright as a Clemson commit?

Last night on ESPN Classic, they did a "Whose Number 1" show on the top 20 overrated things in sports. I think they missed a few. Among the misses are:
1. High school recruit rankings
2. The RPI
3. Coaches and media polls
It looks good on paper to get so-called top 100 recruits. But, I have seen way too many misses to put a whole lot of faith in these rankings.

Actually I was just looking at it for the rankings. Cash did commit to Clemson at one point though...didn't he?

Yes, he did, then backed out of it.
I noticed a couple of interesting names on the list...Ralph Sampson III and Isaiah Thomas....

I like the RSCI composite list. I think it gives the best ranking because it takes multiple sources to determine the list.

I'll send Jeff Crume (the author) a note on that.
EDIT - done.

Thomas no relation to the famous one, though.

Deonta Vaughn. Herb Jones. Nick Van Exel. Corie Blount. Steve Logan. None in Top 100.
All excellent UC Bearcats.
