8 BE teams...and Marq ahead of us.
Apparently, he sees us as the 10th best team in the BE...go figure! That means he sees us as worse this year than last...remember we were a 9 seed in MSG at the BE Tourn.
I guess we will just have to prove ourselves on the court before anyone believes!

I don't envy that task. It's ludicrous to try and do a bracket before the season starts. In what way does he have to measure Marquette or Pitt or Kentucky?

I don't see the 10th team necessarily being worse than the 9th team last year. While the Big East isn't as top heavy as last year, the middle and lower teams have definitely moved up in how good they were compared to last year.

You know what's pretty ridiculous about this whole Bracketology thing? ANYBODY can do it. It's not THAT BIG of a mystery to pick the teams... and he likes to boast about how good he is at getting almost all the teams right every year on Selection Sunday....
It's not THAT impressive, Joe. It's not like the committee has to pick from like 150 teams to make up the 34 at-large... by then, it's pretty obvious.
No more Bracketology mentions, please- thank you.

Don't know about you folks, but i am dying to get this season going so we can shut some of these guys up. Or worst case prove if the right guy is running this team.

Joe Lunardi is about as relevant as Rod Belding.

Joe Lunardi used to be Bob Packwood's personal assistant.
"This is... Bob Dole."

Lunardi and the rest of the hacks have no clue what they are talking about. Decourcy is the only one that knows what he is talking about.

Joe Lunardi is about as relevant as Rod Belding.
A google search for "Joe Lunardi" turns up about 34,500 hits, and one for "Rod Belding" turns up 440,000. So on the internet, Joe Lunardi is less than 1/10 as relevant as Rod Belding.
In reality, of course, he has a prominent column on ESPN and is frequently (if not incessantly) interviewed about the NCAA. Given that perception frequently becomes reality, I'd argue that like him or hate him, Joe Lunardi is extremely relevant.
