Why not have it so that posts are instant, but moderators and administrators can delete them later if deemed inappropriate. Unless mods are on at all times (which I'm not sure) this could be pretty annoying.

They only have to approve the first 3 posts... then once you reach Junior level your posts will be automatic.

The initial set of posts must be approved. This is to help prevent rogue subscribers coming in and posting a bunch of spam.
