I know it's not that important, as there will be liberal substitution, just curious as to who will be the first five on the floor.

I'm guessing:

Gates, Vaughn, Wright, Toyloy and Bishop

Any other thoughts?

Wright, Vaughn, Stephenson, Gates, Toyloy. At least that's my hope. Put Stephenson in and let him play thru things.

I also hope to see more of Parker for better defense on the perimeter. Wright has looked horrible with on the ball defense.

I want to see more attacking and swinging of the ball. I want to see more shots at the rim and less jump shots. You become easy to defend when all you shoot is jump shots. Teams much less talented than you can guard you.

Where does Thomas fit in after December? I doubt if the starting five at the beginning of the season will be the same once we start the BEast. I think it will be for the first game, Cash, DV, LS, Toyloy, Gates.

you would think that if the scrimmage games are used in that decision I would agree with you.

I think Mick likes to use Wilks at the 6th man to up the tempo... so far that has worked out well.

Wilks has been playing well. He is going to make mistakes, but he is also going to make some big plays. He is confident shooting the ball from 3, but will make some bad decisions (i.e. turnovers). However, he is working very hard on the offensive end when he is in the post, constantly fighting for position and offensive rebounds.

People will get on Wilks all year for some of the bonehead plays he'll make, but these same people will also praise him when he hits some big 3s and hustles his a$$ off.

We know what we have with Wilks. Some good, some bad and some highlight reel dunks!

Thomas will start at some point in my opinion and Toyloy will come off the bench at both frontcourt positions.

I think Lance will start but I for one wish that we would work him in off the bench for Bishop. I feel that we should have the same line up as last year as starters go (minus Mike). I feel Lance will be better than Rashad by years end but right now I dont want to lose his D and want to have Vaughn as the main scorer and get in a groove... then bring in Lance. So my feeling of what Mick goes with is:

Cash
Vaughn
Lance
Gates
Toyloy

but want this starting line up (until Maui or soon after)

Cash
Vaughn
Bishop
Gates
Toyloy

Lance has started all of his life, he will continue to start. Bishop is more content to come off the bench and seems to produce better in that role based on the 2 exhibition games so far. I agree we need Bishop in there for defensive purposes but I think Lance will continue to start.
