Quiet 16 last night, you can tell nerves getting to him a little right now. Trouble dribbling, immediately looking to go into one on one mode as soon as he gets the balll. I love it though, guy is a scorer and will realize his opportunities will come within the flow of the game.
He will be able to get to the rim on anybody in the country consistently. He's been able to do that at every level thus far, and has a toughness about him being from where he's from and playing the games he's played. All about finding a rhythm right now.
He'll be really good this year for us, and Mick will have him playing unselfish, which is gonna be easy to do with the team competing and getting victories.

We need him to go one on one.
We dont need someone just looking to catch pass and shoot. We need someone that is looking to create. That is lance.
I can not wait for someone to try to gaurd him/UC man on man. That will be hilarious.

I think he is thinking too much. The perceived knock on him was that he would be a ball hog. The reality so far is that he has been the opposite.

I really hope he stays two years. Would be fantastic.

Butler couldn't stop laughing at him after that missed fast-break dunk. He limped after that but I think the only thing hurt was his ego.

You haven't even seen the surface of what this kid will be by Feb.. He's still thinking. Every game he'll do that less and less. I think he'll blossom in Maui
because he'll get alot of game experience in a very short window. He won't have time to worry. It'll be basketball, basketball, basketball, with a team trip thrown in.

Who is Butler?

Who is Butler?
I don't know, was wondering the same thing.
Lance could be All-American, really could be. Dude is a beast going to the bucket. He's freakin the prototype wing man in the Big East.

Perhaps he meant Buford?

I believe Lance's problem thus far is with the dribble drive is that he's trying to go to much East and West. He needs just to jab and drive, instead of doing four moves just to move four feet.

I was crackin up. Gotta laugh sometimes.
I hope Lance doesnt take himself too seriously. His pride was hurt a bit. Oh well. It is a classic freshman moment.
He has the best handles I have ever seen from someone his size.
I LOVE his ball fakes

Yeah Lance had that nasty ballfake-and-go on the baseline but got called for traveling.. then finished with a smooth finger roll. He missed a couple layups and a dunk last night or else he'd have dropped 20.
I like how he runs the fast break too... he actually knows what to do on the break, unlike ALL OF OUR OTHER GUARDS.
Gotta figure out the defense as a team though.. because Vandy can light it up.

On some of his videos it looks like he has good hops, and on some it doesn't. Last nite, on both the missed dunk and the made, it didn't look like he had a large vertical leap. Now on the alley oop, he made that with ease. I have a bad feeling that he's going to be an Eric Hicks kind of dunker.....where he makes most of them, but every so often, one will go into the crowd.

as of 11-19-09, I like him at the point more than Wright, Im sure as the year goes on Wright will become better, but LS's passing is better than Wright's.

That just makes it that much more exciting! Will he make it or will someone catch it in the 10th row? :D

Believe LS tweaked an ankle in the first game which may be why he can't get up as well as before.

Lance will be fine. The kid is a superb talent. You aren't ranked in the top of your class for 5-6 years running for nothing......
All-time leading scorer in the history of the state of New York. Anyone who has ever touched a basketball respects that statistic.....
I think Lance is a better two-foot jumper than one foot. He got "sprited" on the one foot.

I can not wait to see him play vs man and full court press. I hope the NBA scouts saw him get rejected by the rim, we might keep him an extra year.

My friend is a die hard Xavier fan and when I mentioned I cant wait to see someone gaurd use man to man he told me that is all X does. I think they will be making a huge mistake trying to gaurd Lance man on man. I would run clear outs all day.
I would seriously doubt anybody would leave Yancy 1 on 1. People always crash on him.
