He logged no playing time tonight, which was interesting in light of our big men being in foul trouble. Anyone know if his lack of playing time was the result of an injury, or simply a decision based on matchups?

But, I still think Biggie can contribute toward this team's success in certain situations. It just seems that he's never developed the strength, footwork, and intensity that he needs to be a successful contributor. Hopefully that changes as the year goes on.

I've never seen more threads and posts on one inconsequential player before. Biggie is never going to log significant minutes. Nor should he. He is not even close to being able to compete on a high level against average teams, let alone good teams like Vandy.

Seriously, I hope this young man is taking advantage of his scholarship to study and prepare himself for whatever future career he may have. It's probably not going to be in basketball.
We sometimes forget (those of us who have had to pay our or someone else's way through college will not) what an extraordinary benefit it is to have your college provided free (kind of like living in Europe)
That's pretty valuable in and of itself

Why don't people on this board ask, "Why isn't Tyree Evans getting on court?"

I sure hope Yancy develops into a NBA 1st round draft pick before leaving school. Otherwise, Biggie's lack of development as well as Yancy's will be used against Mick in the recruiting battles.

I have felt since I first saw him that he had no game. As a frosh his slowness was dismissed by others as his foot bone spur. Last year some said he would could only play with the right match ups. Almost no other team had a guy he matched up with.
He should transfer to a D II or III school.

Biggie is not good. I have said it since he was recruited. He is a 7'1 ball player who cant play ball. Biggie could play on a MAC team possibly or a dII team based off of pure height, but nothing more.
People ask why not redshirt him? Why would you hes not getting any better.

Who called it first? You, or Alan Cutler?

It shouldn't be hard to figure out the reason. At the time he signed, he was Mick's most highly touted recruit. He was a 4 star player with offers from some elite schools, including UConn. Plus, and most importantly, he's a 7-footer, and, as you should know, 7-footers happen to be in demand in college basketball. I think many of us have been patiently waiting for his game to develop, hoping that it would eventually click and he'd become a better player, something that you often see happen with big men. I'm not saying it will ever happen with Biggie -- it may not -- but I also wouldn't be surprised if it did happen at some point.

Tyree Evans isn't on this team, there would be no reason on earth to ask that question.
Eddie Tyree on the other hand...
