Wow, this as much as anything shows me how far the football team has moved the ball down the field in terms of attention and support. Please take care of business tonight fellas.

Because tonight's UC-San Diego State game does not start until 10 p.m., it is likely most of The Enquirer's Sunday editions will be printed before the game ends. However, reporter Bill Koch is with the team in San Diego. Please go to Cincinnati.Com after the game for complete coverage, and pick up Monday's Sports section for more on the Bearcats' trip to San Diego.

I thought the same thing when I read that. Not only is it significant that they sent someone to San Diego, but also that they felt it was important enough to print that little blurb on the top front of the sports page.

The Enquirer has really stepped up their coverage this year. My brother in law is a UC alum currently living in Wyoming. He called me the other day and said (with a note of sarcasm), "What is the deal with all the Bearcat football stories in the Enquirer? Things that slow in Cincinnati?"
