when and how often are the bball rankings released? it's been a while since i've been interested in looking.

i'm so excited for this year's team. i know there will be ups and downs with the dependency we have on two freshmen, but with bishop's and vaugh's leadership, things are looking bright.

Every year I say this...but this conference is absolutely ridiculous when it comes to men's basketball.

Good to see some type of positive recognition for the way those young men played in Maui.

I think Gonzaga is a legit top 15 team,so we should be considered top 25 material.
We have 6 games to work on a couple things,then we really get to see how good we are come conference play opening against UConn with a chance at another top 25 win.

We'll be tested before then. Xavier will probably be ranked by time we play them.

Xavier (OH) went 1-2 this week against 3 unranked teams. No way in he11 they are ranked when we play them

X plays Kent then at Kansas State before the Crosstown. They could have three losses by then. If so, they're not even getting votes

XU will not be sniffing the top 25 anytime soon. But don't let the two losses fool you. In the two losses they made bad offensive decisions which led to easy buckets on the other end. They had Marquette beat and then offensively fell apart in the final 4 minutes. They will still bring excellant defense against UC and the game is at X. After watching each team play, I'm 50/50 on who will win.

no chance, they'll likely get some votes this week. i'm not sure they would have cracked it with a win. overall, good trip. need to shoot better but that will come.

Well now... how is that crow tasting coach? No surprise here. They landed right in the range i predicted. Toot toot.....;-)

X didn't have Marquette beat with 4 minutes left, they were down about 7 points. X had them tied with about 6 minutes left and then MU pulled away to finish the game. Baylor essentially had them beat the whole game too. MU and Baylor are both pretty good though, and neither game was at Cintas.

X plays good, tough D, but they rely on Crawford way too much on offense and he's taken a bunch of bad shots. They have some potential if they can get others involved and stop letting Crawford drive and throw up a contested shot 15 times a game.

I actually wanted XU to win their tournament so we could have another chance to beat a third top 25 team OOC.
But we'll have plenty more shots to do that in the BEAST.
