The Bearcats are 6 and 3 point under dogs vs. Rutgers on 2 books that have posted lines.

Both of these lines seem to suggest that on a neutral field, this game would be listed as a "pick-em".

Well, the two teams are currently ranked #20 and #21 in the AP poll, so if sportswriters opinions are at all similar to that of sports gamblers (and there is some definite overlap in the to categories), "pick em" would be logical for a neutral site.

Good! I rather UC to be the underdog than the favorite. It gives Rutgers a greater pressure! :D

By the way, will the game be played on a neutral field? I thought it will be on Rutgers' field. Did I miss something?

No, it is on Rutgers' home field. jkwuc was merely pointing out that, since home-field advantage is generally considered to be worth 3-5 points, a point spread in this range suggests that the handicappers see this as a game between two equal teams, with the spread coming from the home field, rather than from any perceived talent difference.

We know what time they are playing yet, or when it will be announced?

I wonder if this line will tighten at all during the week. UC is getting some buzz nationally as well as the local excitement. As betters begin to look at the game stats, etc, UC might draw some money at 6.

Cincinnati is favored by almost 6 points by the Sagarin Predictor ratings on a neutral field, almost exactly 3 points when the game being played in Rutgers is factored in.

Take the points and the Cats.

Thanx brutha.

No prob. Wish we could get a group together to watch it but I'll be at an In-Laws' family wedding in Cleveland (but firmly on a bar stool by Kick off). BTW, we had a group of about 10 peeps at the Holy Grail Saturday in front of the nice flat screen. It was packed (also heard Dave and Busters started to shut people out it was so crowded), wonderful to see for a cats game w/ a 10 pm kick off.

Caeser's Palace Sports Book has Rutgers as a 3 point favorite.
