By the way, anyone planning on going to the game this Saturday? A buddy and I just made the decision to drive to NJ early Saturday (~600 miles each way).

No tickets yet, but we'll cross that bridge soon...:)

That is a cool view of the energy @ Nippert during last years Rutgers win!

I grew up on the Jersey Shore and went to UC. Wife and I leaving Cincinnati Thursday morning and driving to NJ (9 1/2 to 10 hour straight drive through). My brother and his family live there and 8 of us will be heading up to Piscataway Saturday afternoon. Alumni Association is having a pre-game rally at Old Bay Restaurant in New Brunswick. We'll be there.

What time does the pre-game rally start? How far from the stadium is the Old Bay Restaurant? Do you have directions or know of a website? That sounds ideal.

I haven't been this excited for a football game in a while (and I have season tickets for an out of town NFL team).

Address is 61-63 Church Street in New Brunswick. I don't know how far it is from stadium. Pre-game rally there starts at 6:00 with light appetizers and give-aways. Cash bar. You need to register for the event (no charge) thru UC Alumni Association (www.alumni.uc.edu/events). Web site with directions for Old Bay is www.oldbay.com. Looks like a pretty nice place.

Although it doesn't seem like many people from here are making the trip, I wanted to let everyone know that I just booked a hotel for a pretty decent price.

Super 8 Motel (certainly not going to be luxurious, but hopefully we'll be drunk from celebrating and just need a place to crash)

206 Raritan Ave
Highland Park, NJ 08904
(approximately 3.5 miles from the stadium, according to Google Maps)

2 double beds, non-smoking

$72.80 with tax...not bad considering there are 4 of us
