I don't know if anyone has seen the new Sports Illustrated article from January 11th with John Wall (UK) on the cover, but there is a nice section about Born Ready.
Go to page 65 and the article talks about 'Fantastic Five' - 5 freshman leading college basketball.
One part states:
"In sum: the 6'5" freshman guard has an outsized ego (he talked trash to opposing coach Chris Mack during the Bearcats' loss at Xavier) and nerves of steel. (He was fouled with less than a second left and made both free throws in a breakthrough 71-69 win over No. 10 Connecticut on Dec. 30.)"
I honestly do not see the 'attitude' or 'ego' he has with the team, but it's still positive press for the Men's Basketball Team.

thats confidence...dudes a street player...he's going to talk trash but he has the game to do it. you can see it when he makes a pass, if the guy that catches it doesnt finish, Lance gets pissed....UC needs a player like that, hes the face of the program right now.
i have to get a copy of si...good looking out.

Talking trash to Chris Mack, why is this considered so heinous? Mack invites this with his own childish behavior. It's not like Lance talked trash to The Big O or gave the finger to John Wooden. Chris Mack's biggest problem is that he's immature, so to tag an opposing player for engaging him is hardly fair.

I absolutely feel that Stephenson has an ego. Have you seen him walking around the court with that limp. I think his ego helps fuel his game, and he doesn't cause him to do foolish things, so I'm all for it.
