I hope BJ can get him back. Not sure why he'd leave with another spread wide open offense coach coming in.
The only schools we need to worry about taking him from what I've heard is ND or Ky. Considering he's from Indy I'm sure he'd jump if he was offered at ND and was elegible to get in.

Any updates on Lewis? He would be a star in a couple years. We have little to no depth at reciever in the past 2 classes

Interest Level: 5 out of 5 (soft verbal)

He's maybe a 3.

His coach seems to think he is still a cincy commit is why I put him at a 5 on interest. If he is visiting and saying he hasnt decommited I would think his interest is very high.

BCL said he already visited but they don't say when.

Scout has Lewis visiting UC on 1/22. They also say he visited UK last weekend and is visiting Purdue this weekend.

Was that Scout Inc. (ESPN) or Scout.com (BCI)? If it's the latter I can verify.

Scout.com. That's what was listed on his profile for visit dates. I know those aren't always updated frequently, though.

I'm pretty sure Lewis officially visited UC last weekend. I think in the end chances are he's going to stick with UC.

there is something on Louisville's rivals premium site that says that UL received a committment yesterday from a star player at Indy Pike who was considering UL, UC, and WVU. Not sure but i'm assuming this is Lewis?

Edit...maybe it's Anthony McClung?

It was McClung

Good find. Apparently he re-affirmed his commitment today. Best news I've heard all day.

Dyjuan Lewis on why he reaffirmed his commitment to UC, “New and better coaching staff at UC" said Lewis via text.

I love it. I know it's sooooo early to say this, but who else is getting the feeling that Mike Thomas hit another one out of the park?

Butch has definitely come through as a recruiter, now it remains to be seen what he can do on the sidelines.

actually he has already proven at CMU that he can win on the sidelines! Whether or not he could recruit at this level was one of the only questions to be answered...so far so good!

I would say that because he was able to out recruit UC while at CMU that should not have been a question mark.

I think the only thing this guy has to prove is 'Can he win a BCS Championship?" Like he said, that's about his only major goal.

NICE!!!!! Butch is picking up where BK left off. If you follow the UC head coaching pattern, every coach has been better and built off of his predecessor. Let's hope BJ follows suit.
BTW- Is it OK to call him BJ? Just want to be sure.

CJ, not BJ, Coach Jones

I like that much better when referring to the man who leads our footballprogram. :p

Coach is really hitting the recruiting trail hard and making great progress, so I hear. A lot can happen between now and signing day; I predict that things could actually get better for the 'Cats as recruits get to know CJ!

Jody Demling (1/22/10):

There was also word that Indianapolis Pike wide receiver Dyjuan Lewis might be backing out of his commitment to Cincinnati and considering a visit to UK this weekend. But then Lewis said he was still committed to the Bearcats and there's been no further word.
