It has been brought to my knowledge that a 5 star players IS ON CAMPUS. I have been told it is a 2010 recruit.

I am not sure if the person was referring to scout.com 5 star but I would be willing to bet they were talking about rivals.

Two best guesses:

Jordan Hicks- New Staff turning up the heat on him??
Latwan Anderson- Committed to WVU last week but we were in the running for him.

I will be at the game and will try to find out. I will of coarse be bringing wads of cash money to toss at recruits.

James is not a 5 star, though. There is a *rumor* that it's Latwan Anderson but that is not even close to being able to be confirmed.

Man you know recruiting info for UC football is hard to come by when you don't even know which players are visiting. UC football may have the worst recruiting info of any BCS school.

I feel he was somewhat pressured to make his pick at the US Army All Star game. In reality WVU was his top choice at the time but he was still not 100%

UC was always his second choice with OSU #3. Funny thing is they had an OSU hat and a WVU hat but no UC hat for him to pick from.

Red hoody and jeans, I was only able to see him when the team went down to the floor at halftime. Once they came back and the game started I could see anything.

I didn't see any briefcases around him. He had a pretty bland reaction to everything, most of the time I saw him he was talking to one of the assistants or texting on his phone.

I was being facetious in my commentary. I, under no circumstances, would ever endorse giving money to a recruit so please do not interpret my simple comment as an endorsement. I said it is temporary for the exact reasons stated: once discovered it leaves the program with a massive issue and mess to clean up that is not any good for anybody involved except the coach who usually is elsewhere by then.

no one here knows for a fact that uc doesn't cheat. i'm not saying they, i'm just saying you don't know that they don't. this is major college athletics, big business here, everyone is bending the rules.

Glenville kids are under enormous pressure to go to O$U, 99% of the time if O$U wants a Glenville kid they get him. Anderson is a little different because he just transferred to Glenville right before the season. Even so I`m sure O$U fans felt they have the right to see him play for the Buckeyes.

While it's nice he seemed to enjoy his visit...he signed off like he was talking to WVU fans. I think he's more of a 0 out of 5.

Sounds like we might be in the hunt for Latwan Anderson again. I've read it is basically down to us and WVU right now. I think he is set to visit USC on 2/12 though. We'll see.

Basically it comes down to the USC visit. If he takes the USC visit he will sign with them, if he signs before he takes the visit I think there is a great chance he signs with UC. At least that the rumor in Clifton right now.

Go to USC and sit the bench and never be noticed or come to UC in a high flowing offense and start 4 years and go to the NFL. Just look at Hazelton. He was a 5 star player. He was benched and not getting playing time so he came to UC. If he has a standout year he'll be NFL bound.
It amazes me that a top player would rather go to USC just for the name and the sake of saying they played ball there (even if they st the bench) rather than go to a team that they could play right away and be noticed and further their career.
If a player like Pike or Gilyard went to USC, OSU, etc. do you think they'd be considered an NFL draft pick? Very doubtful.
I guess some player think that they are different and good enough to be a starter at a program at USC..but in reality your odds of starting and getting noticed are far slimmer than going to another top 20 program like UC. Teenagers just don't think rationally. :D

Bingo! someones else understands confidence and competetiveness. Players should believe they can succeed at the highest level they are recruited. Come to UC or USC and be as good as you can be.
