It has been speculated about the 16 verbals for the 2010 recruiting class. Some have been listed as soft, while some of the recruits continue to take official visits to other schools. What happens if Anderson and/or James commit to the "C"? Will there been any defections from the existing roster or will they pull some of the offers? Looking for insight from some of the other members.
Also, haven't heard about the four 3 star recruits that were verbals to CMU and are no longer committed.

I wouldnt be concerned with the scholorship situation just yet. Some people have left the program and others may come and go. Anderson and James have a scholly if they want one. You may see UC tell some kids they have got to commit or they will not have their scholorship in a week. That type of thing

I believe there will be a few kids on the roster now that wont be here next year. Ricky Harris is one of them...I heard he got kicked off the team for not going to class which is a shame...he was a big recruit coming out of Columbus last year.

UC will sign at least 20. The good thing about Jones is he over-recruits a bit. Kelly would sign exactly the # of scholarships he had available at the time and then come spring practice and then the season UC would be short of the 85 scholarship players by 5-7 guys because of attrition.

As long as we don't turn into Alabama I'm ok with this, but if we start putting ourselves in a position where we NEED players to commit misdemeanors just to get to 85 I'll be pretty disappointed.

That is why you don't oversign by 10 guys per year.

IMO, it is a good thing to always Over-recruit by a few guys.

If you recruit to your exact number then you deserve to get burned on signing day.

I totally agree, over-signing by a few guys doesn't bother me at all.

hadn't heard that about harris. i think he had been switched from og to dt, was looking forward to seeing him help out the defense next year.

also, db everett horne is long gone after being arrested for a string of house burglaries.

Horne never qualified so never made it to UC.

Anyone know if we had any early enrollees in this year's class? I'm assuming the answer is no since I haven't heard about it anywhere and it seems like all of our recruits have been talked about recently as being tried to be lured away by other programs. If so, that would count against last year's class and free up a little space in this class.
