With the Pac-10 down and the bubble not looking as strong as it has in the past I now believe that a 10-8 record and 1st round win the BEAST tourney will lock up a bid to the NCAA's so at 4-3 lets break down the remaining 11 BEAST games.........

Should Win
Providence
Depaul
Marquette

These 3 games are all at 5/3rd after that Marquette debacle last night it seems they struggle on the road

Likely Win
At USF

They saw us without Lance add another offensive weapon and we should win in the Sun Dome.... I know Gilchrest may be back, but Yancy only played 10 mins last night and we won by 8

Toss Up
At Notre Dame

Tough to play at the Joyce Center should be a good one like the one this past Saturday

Likely Loss
At UL
Syracuse
Villanova
at UCONN

All these will be very tough would love to steal one

Should Lose
At GTOWN
At WVU

Tough matchups tough places to play
If we could take the toss up game at ND we finish 9-9 if things go according to this plan (of course they won't), that will make a strong showing at MSG very important and a lot of stressful days before selection Sunday. How big does that loss at St. Johns look now? Anyways what do yall think?

I think we will steal one maybe even two of the games you put under likely loss. hopefully we can get a repeat of that beat down we put on WVU in their house a couple years ago

Marquette is definitely not a should win. It should be in the toss up category. The same for at USF, that is not a likely win, it is a toss up.

Ralph, did you see USF play last night? Have you checked the boxscore from the marquette-depaul showdown last night? We've lost one time at home and a undersized marquette team that can't win at depaul is supposed to come in here as a toss up? I disagree with that and yes I know kenpom had that as a loss as of last night.

Marquette isn't as bad as the DePaul game, but at home it is a should win and it is a need to win.

At ND, at USF and Marquette at home are the make/break games. These are the closest pick 'em games on the schedule. Assuming they beat Providence and Depaul at home, these games become must wins to get to 9-9 or better in the league.

I can't wait to see Lance playing in the BE tournament in MSG. I know that he was rather lackluster in his first game there...but he will have more experience and I think he will really shine...thoughts?

Did you see the Marquette vs Villanova game? Villanova won by 2. Did you see the Marquette at WVU game? Marquette lost by 1 because they missed the front end of a 1 and 1 in last 30 seconds twice. Did you see the Marquette vs Xavier game? Marquette beat XU by 10. Marquette beat Georgetown. Did you see the Notre Dame at USF game? ND pulled it out by 2. UC plays in the Big East, this ain't C-USA.

He played 3 games in the New York area this season, Seton Hall, Rutgers, St. John's and stunk it up all 3.

....and since Depaul just beat Marquette, that becomes a toss-up or perhaps Depaul favored.....he11, we may not win another game!

His best was against Rutgers with 10 pts and 6 rebounds. He had 15 (I think) against Seton Hall, but had 6 turnovers in that game and in the St Johns game. Would tell me that he forces it.

You skipped the UC vs USF game to stay home to watch Marquette vs DePaul. Then you should not be complaining about the attendence or lack of enthusiasm at 5/3 Arena.

I believe in my original post I said in Madison Square Garden (MSG) not the New York area.

I believe Lance won four straight state titles in MSG.

Why is the W Va game "should lose"? Our coach seems to outcoach their coach, even when we reportedly have less talent

No Ralph, I DVR'd it. You can actually go to games and watch other games later. Technology is really advancing. Has anyone told you that Black and White TVs are out. The new color tvs are really neat!

KENPOM has upped his projection to 18-12 (9-9). His individual game model though can ID only Prov and DePaul as 2 of the wins. He's saying we'll win 3 others, he's just not sure which ones. The highest odds of winning would be ND, S. Fla, Marq and Nova. I'm not sure I like our chances against Nova even at the Shoe.
