Here's another CMU defect.

CMU fans are pi$$ed!

Nice to get another WR prospect, though. Had an offer from Iowa.

Haven't seen an article or anything about it. Hopefully the database isn't wrong, but there were rumblings of this happening.

Yea, they're pretty much saying all the same things about CJ, that were/are saying about BK.

Not only that but they are really trashing UC and the city of Cincinnati on their boards.

^ Can you blame them?

Imagine this scenario... In 3 years, ND is looking for a new coach, and they hire Butch Jones... Going back to the same well twice in three years... You think it got ugly in Cincy this time with BK...I would hate to think what it would be like then.

Obviously we make assumptions on what type of system BK will run at ND, but if ND is looking for a new coach in 3 years, do you think they and Michigan will be hiring another coach that runs the spread?

Yeah I went over to the CMU boards after Kater committed, they weren't happy with BJ. Didn't see much about UC but they were definitely pissed at Jones.

I would watch the boards for a speedy tailback that committed to CMU and CJ.

He was verbal committment in either august or sept.. He was a 3 star recruit and I don't believe he has visited since CJ's departure.

You are missing my point...but for the sake of argument...I'll play along.

What if ND wins a national title in 3 years, and BK decides his real dream job is taking over for Bill B in New England...you know, because he has always been an Irish Catholic NFL fan. ND figures...why not hire the guy that just coached UC to its 5th straight BCS game in BJ.

We would be irate at South Bend again.

Agreed. I trashed the city of South Bend when Kelly left, I'll admit (it really is not a nice place in my opinion). Two coaches in under four years from the same school? That would automatically be one of my least favorite places in the United States. He ll, this time it only took one coach.

Back on topic, this guy is only a two star but he's 6-1 and runs a 4.5? Sounds like a solid addition to me. I think we need to work very hard to add speed wherever we can (not that we aren't trying to do that) and size along the lines. Not a revolutionary breakthrough, I know, but this is what we need to compete with the top programs.

Understand, I was just playing along with all the people that had assumed BK would fail and then ND goes to another spread coach.

If CJ moves on to a big-time football school in 3 years I'll be pretty happy because that means UC's run of football success has gone on for another 3 years. The only way CJ ends up going to ND in three eyars is if UC wins at least one conference title during that time frame, and I have a lot of trouble being upset at that prospect.

I don't think that was the intent of that post. I think he was trying to potray what the emotions are that are going through CMU fans by giving an example in a reference we UC fans could relate to. Because they did lose two head coaches to the same school only three years apart.
