Will the emergence of Wilks as a four star hurt us with Gates?

Yancy Gates will probably have West Virginia right at the top of his list, it will be very difficult to get Yancy away from Huggins.

I believe we are also in the running for Tony Woods a 6-11 Center out of Georgia who is a top 40 recruit with Rivals. I am sure he would be somewhere in Scouts 100 probably top 50.

There are a lot more top 100 players looking at UC, Scout manages to leave Cincinnati off a handful of players in the top 100 who are listing Cincy. Yancy won't go to Morgantown, book that.

There is no doubt that Rivals list is much better and up to date....scouts is just a little easier to navigate. Thanks for the info guys.

I'd rather see Yancy at WVU than Xavier if he decides the unthinkable and doesn't commit to Mick.

I disagree, I would rather him go to Xavier so we can watch the home town kid play and we wouldn't have to play him twice a year in a in-conference game. Sure we play X once a year but we all know which game means more. I support coach Huggins but if his sucess means our program having another hurdle, then I say no thanks and have no problem with him losing.

I would rather see him at X also (ONLY if he doesn't come to UC). Play him once a year, instead of two or more.

If he goes to Xavier that would mean trouble for us, especially because him and Frease will be down low..

I'd still rather see him there because we only play them once, and WVU is in conference opponent

My point being you don't want X to start pulling in the big kids here in town. Right now the A-10 seems to be repellant for big time players. The Frease kid still mystifies me. He must like playing in front of small crowds on the road.

I understand the concern, but let's be honest with ourselves we do not need to worry about X recruiting in Cincy. Frease is nice, but I am not sure he is our style. Sure we could use him now, sense we are down, but Gates is physical and can shoot the rock. You need to want to be physical and play defense. Thats not a bash on Frease I am sure he will be outstanding and do wonders for X's program. I honestly think that X would have a chance at big time players but the A-10 is holding them down. Their only shot at getting these guys are if they are home town kids. From what we all hear Mick is a master recruiter and will get the talent in, but what we need to find out is if we can coach him.

I hope your right. All the powers that be make it sound like Frease could play anywhere.

From what he has said in the past Georgetown in the main concern and not Xavier. I am now worried about WVU, but I have been confident since his desire to stay near home.

And for the Rivals top 150 with Cincinnati as interest - in all fairness a much better list.
13 - Willie Warren
17 - Yancy Gates
21 - Xavier Gibson
34 - Tony Woods
38 - Darius Miller
41 - Chris Singleton
56 - Jordan Theodore
63 - Darnell Wilks Cincinnati commit
64 - Jared Swopshire
74 - Teondra Williams
75 - Paul Williams
79 - Angelo Johnson
83 - J'Mison Morgan
93 - Will Brown
100 - Ray Shipman
127 - Kemba Walker
132 - Dequan Jones
133 - Courtney Fortson
147 - Drazen Zlovaric

I knew Wilks, but I missed Woodall. Thanks!

You can remove Wilks who's already committed to UC. Also Travon Woodall committed to Pittsburgh two months ago. The others all have legit interest in UC and for the most part the feeling is mutual. Large pool of recruits they are viewing, class should be top 20 caliber.
