Munchie Legaux (very interesting Qb prospect, 4*)? Roney Lozano (may defect to Miami,FL or Maryland)? Preston Brown(Loserville)? Adaris Bellamy (will he sign on visit...a great RB prospect, size, power and decent speed)? Latwan Anderson (might he switch from WVU to UC or worse OSU)? Matt James (maybe coach Jones can get him to stay home)?
Fingers crossed that coach Jones and the gang can pull out some signing day miracles.
Anyone with additional information with what may happen over the next few days? I would love to add all of the afforementioned names, but I would settle for 3 out of the last 6 (praying for at least 4 of them).
Go Cats!
ps - anyone have any word on Monte Taylor...I thought this guy would be a stud on defense last year (size and speed). Is he still at UC or did he leave school?

Alright, there were two JC defensive players from California last year. One enrolled and left the team because he was at the bottom of the depth chart. (want to say James?) and then the other one (I think Taylor) has enrolled for winter quarter and will be on the team next year.
And I too am hoping for a few suprises!

You are correct. Malik James left team a few weeks into the season and Monte Taylor enrolled for winter quarter along with Josh Jones and DeMarcus Bracy

I think UC is pretty much done, as far as surprises go. Although, thats why they call it a surprise. Holding on to what we have while getting Bellamy would be fine by me.

Interesting prospect. Would be nice seeing him in red and black.

I think there is a very good chance we get him. I like it that he visited just this weekend. The Arizona Daily Star thinks he'll be a Bearcat!:

He seems like a great replacement for the loss of D. Brown. He is a dual threat qb. He wants an oppurtunity to play qb but said if it doesn't work out he'll be willing to play another position.

I am excited and will be talking all about on bearcatnews
I will try to provide good feedback on recruits as they come in for the average fan that may not recognize the names.

I have been a Bearcats football fan for as long as I can remember, but this is the first time I have been very excited for signing day. Sure, I've been following it the last few years, but not like I have this year. I am very excited to see how our class shapes up. A few thoughts: I like what I am reading about Munchie Legaux. Kind of reminds me of Ray "Voodoo" Tatum from Friday Night Lights with the skill set and being from Louisiana. Anyway, he seems like he'd be a good pickup and people seem to think he is leaning towards Cincinnati.
I have heard recently (only on here) that Lozano might be headed to Miami now? I haven't read anything on this. Anyone know more about this or have any pertinent articles?
I don't expect Preston Brown to stay with us. I just hope that he isn't kicking our butts in 3 years for Louisville.
In two or three years I think Lewis and McClung could be nice weapons at WR.
We're adding some nice, big young linebackers in Tentman and Mason (Brown would be awesome to add here as well).
In the secondary, guys like Chenault and Witty should be contributors eventually. Witty looked pretty tough in his highlight video.
Cody Kater is a guy that Butch obviously sees fitting into his offense, and he has great size, so you have to like that.
I also like Cameron Beard. Seems like he's a good addition.
Schloemer and Shepard are big guys that could be nice players in a few years.
We've seemingly boosted the kicking game tremendously without using any scholarships, which I personally think is huge.
If we can add either Legaux or Bellamy tomorrow, that would be fantastic. Even better would be if we hang onto Lozano. Either way, we'll be adding some talent to an already young and talented team. I'm pumped!
