Sure seems like we need one or two?

Goebel a Sr. - serviceable at best

Pead - Great Junior and Sr. years await

Then what?

we also have Darrin Williams who will be a sophmore. He and Pead will likely split carried. Pead being #1 but Williams will spell him at times.

I read on other posts that Adairs Bellamy was going to visit next weekend. I wonder if grades aren't an issue with Bellamy. He prepped a year at Military Acad., I think it was Fork Union, which means his academics were in question after his senior season. I have to believe that Jones will run more giving more of a role to Pead and Williams, etc. That should attract more pure runners.

Yeah Williams is not a guy you want to shoulder the load, but he has big play ability and certainly is a guy you could give 10 carries a game that often gets lost by the defense until he is flying past them. But would definitely like to see us add a RB or two to the mix for the future. Next year one is a must since they could redshirt or see limited action spelling Pead in 2011. Maybe if Pead is really huge in the offense next season it will make waves with some bigger RBs and get us a top notch one for 2011.

It's a little early to make comments about whether Darrin Williams can handle the load considering he hasn't had that opportunity yet. Warrick Dunn was 5'9" and 180 lbs and he had a long career.

D. Williams is pretty darn fast as observed on the KO Return TD against SEMO. I think D Williams will be one of if not our main return guy next year.

He kind of reminds me of Jacquizz Rodgers out of Oregon State...short, fast, and difficult for the opposing defense to see behind a big O-Line. Although Rodgers is listed at 191lbs (he's also 5' 7"). Hopefully Williams bulks up a bit this off season.

I love Jone's ambition in going after these highly rated players.
