Here's what I'd do:
(1) Shorten rotation: Start Deonta, Lance, Bishop, Thomas, and Gates. I'd tell Deonta that, the first time he shoots a bad 3, he's on the bench next to Eddie Tyree, where he stays the rest of the game. Deonta only shoots open 3's, and the rest of the time, he drives, drives, drives.
Only guys off the bench are Cash, Parker, and Dixon. Toyloy gets maybe 5 minutes. First time Dixon jacks a bad 3, I tell him to get on the bench next to Eddie Tyree. I tell Davis, McClain, and Wilks to keep the bench warm and act like good cheerleaders.
(2) Offense. First person who jacks up a 3 without the ball touching the high or low post gets a seat next to Eddie Tyree. First person who holds the ball for more than 3 seconds without passing takes a seat next to Eddie Tyree. First person who dribbles around the perimeter in circles for more than 2 seconds takes a seat next to Eddie Tyree. Folks take a seat until we get 5 on the court who will move the ball without dribbling, 5 who will pass into the post, etc.
Gates touches the ball every time down the court. If he's posted and doesn't get the ball, the wing who failed to throw it in to him takes a seat next to Eddie Tyree.
Deonta, Cash, and Lance drive the gaps -- ATTACK, ATTACK, ATTACK.
WE LOOK TO SCORE WELL BEFORE THERE ARE ONLY 10 SECONDS LEFT ON THE FREAKIN' SHOT CLOCK!!!
4 guys crash the offensive boards, with one getting back on defense -- if we don't get the offensive board, the 4 who crashed need to bust their butts back on defense.
(3) Defense. We switch between a half court zone trap and man to man, mixing it up throughout the game. First guy who doesn't get back on transition defense takes a seat next to Eppensteiner. We do NOT EVER run a full court press, as this team simply has no clue.
(4) If Mick loses, he goes on the radio and mans up.
