Academics, NCAA compliance, and results on the court.
UC gets a mention or two.
Nose-diving? Kind of premature to make that assesment after a single losing season isn't it?

I don't agree with everything the article says. Just posted it.

Disappointed that Basketball Times has chosen not to use the NCAA's APR calculations and is going to continue to use the NCAA Grad Rate method. I feel the NCAA's APR will be a better indicator of a programs academic health over the long term. They should start using it now for future reports.
Otherwise a very interesting report!

Absolutely inane and useless article. College basketball programs rank themselves on the court, wins and losses are what count, nothing else. Florida is the top program in college basketball at the present time, nothing can be written or said to dispute that.

Last 2 years, correct. The article reflects the past 10 (not 2) years.

Interesting...
Last 20 years (1988 through 2007) overall W-L (%) record:
Xavier 71.67%
Cincinnati 70.68%
Surprising to me.

2006 didn't help any. And, doesn't that go back to the Tony Yates era? Our records in those days weren't terrific.

As stated previously the article is inane. The top programs of the last 10 years are those who won the National Championship the last 10 years. At the top are those who won it more than once the last 10 years. Florida is at the top of the list.

1988 and 89 were part of the Yates era.

As reiterated previously, the article is about 10 years, not 2.
It is not SOLELY about who won the national championship recently.

Surprised me as well, but the level of competion was much greater for UC than X.
