I don't think we have that much to fear with Huggins' recruiting. Sitting out a year begot Walker, Walker begot Beasley, Beasley begot the rest. Walker was the key. I don't think he's going to have a big name to help in recruit more quality players.

A lot of schools were (are) recruiting the guys we're after. It's not a big deal if WVU joins the fray. IMO

What if Walker and Beasley decide to follow Huggins to WV? Walker could use an additional year of recovery time as ACL injuries in basketball limit a player attempting to come back after one year, especially someone such as Walker whose game relies on his explosiveness. Who knows what Beasley is thinking but I'm sure Huggins has spoken with him extensively.

I'm not saying that Huggins will take all our recruits, but he also should not be discounted.

Let's try this logic.

IF UC was recruiting against KSU they could always hold out the opportunity to come play for the Big East, and that KSU has had no recent successes. NOW Huggs can say, hey I am in the Big East as well and WVU has been to the NCAA recently.

Therefore, Huggs at WVU is in a stronger position recruiting guys than he was at KSU. QED :)

The question is HOW much of an effect it will have, that I do not know, so I do agree with the last sentence.

Yes. Huggins has spent the past 1-2 years talking to the top recruits. Beilen and Cattlet were not able to get into those same doorways. The question is can Huggins continue to get into those doorways that JB and Cattlet could not?
