Lets look at the last 6.3 secs again.......Who has Mick said is the best inbounds passer on our team? Rashad Bishop......chances are if he is in New York he is inbounding the ball making DV and LS available instead of just LS for the pass. Heck, Dixon probably is on the bench at that point.....fine...... THEN when WVU has the ball was 3.1 secs left who would be guarding D'shaun Butler? That's right Rashad Bishop........I know we may not even be playing tonight if Rashad had played the first 2 nights..... still it would have been nice to have a full roster for all game situations.........Rashad owes the fan base an apology, but HE ESPECIALLY owes his teammates, coaches, and trainers down in the biggest moments of the season.

I'll go on record saying it's NOT Rashad's fault because we played better with Rashad gone.

The kid is trying to make a play. It sucks but it's wrong to pile on him. I know he feels awful right now.

Head up Dion. Nothing to be ashamed of.

They only had 6 seconds, not 15 or 20. It's real easy to say just pass it to Vaughn, especially when the kid hadn't been on the court in a long time. Little time left, he was pushing and made mistake. You put that kid in that same scenario a 100 times and this happens 1 or 2 times. Bad luck.

he looked to pass it back to him but vaughn was smothered.. it would of had to be open to pass it back right away with just left so dixon went with it.. you can get he was mind over body from the start he was moving too quick and just really messed his whole dribble up from the start.. its tough when you sit for 39 min in 54 seconds in that situation.. still a freak play.. the made three was a miracle, people talk about this play by dixon happening once out of 100, that shot goes in about 4 times out of 100 wow!

I'm just glad I've yet to see a wave of posts blaming Mick for putting him on the floor. I thought it was the right move...and I've been as critical of Mick as anyone. In that situation, you go with Cash, DV, Lance, Gates, and then another guard that is capable of handling the ball...either Dixon or Parker. We know Parker is shaky in late-game situations as well. Thus, it's a crapshoot at that point. Pick your poison sort of thing for that last guard spot. It's unfortunate that Dion was the only one of the three guards (DV was inbounding) that managed to get open. Nevertheless, like many others, I hope he keeps his head up. No guarantees we would have won that game even if he hadn't made that mistake. Keep your head up Dion.

I just watched the replay for the dozenth time and if Dixon had controlled the ball and thrown it back to Vaughn as designed, it would been stolen and WVU would have had a layup.
