"I wish Mick the best. Mick's one of my guys. I’m the guy that got him started in the business, so I wish him the best."
Huggins finally in Big East (http://news.enquirer.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20071024/SPT0101/310240058/1064/SPT)

He wouldn't admit it but he's where he should have been in 2002.
13 years ANYWHERE is long enough. Coaches need new challenges.

I wish Jims Boeheim and Calhoun would take your advice and step down. Today.

Those 2 are HOF coaches. The great majority of coaches need a new challenge every 10 years or so.

Was that a backhanded 'compliment' to Mick?? Like, I'm the great coach, and he's good, but still wet behind the ears?
Kinda reminds me of when Bowden Sr. pulls up at a recruits house as his son is leaving the house and remarks "Hey, your momma has been wanting you to call her".

If I'm not mistaken Boeheim announced this is his last season. I think I saw that somewhere.

Mike Hopkins, who played for Mater Dei H.S., and also at SU, is slated to take over when he retires.
Hopkins had a lame *** nickname in h.s. "Hopperator"

I think he has a designated successor but not a retirement date.

I agree, there is no timetable that is known.

He's just re-stating the fact that Mick got his first coaching break from Huggs. Mick has 5 years as HC whereas Huggs has 25 years.

That was another of my poor attempts at humor.
