He has definitely underwhelmed so far in his career but he is a scat back with more power than Pead that could succeed in this offense.

I've had a chance to watch Scott out here a few times. He isn't a scat back - he's fast and powerful, and hits holes well. Great size for a RB - 6'1" and 215. For some reason, he really wasn't given the opportunity to develop. When he showed flashes, he looked awesome. However, he wasn't given a fair shake there at CU, and I'm not sure why. Apparently, he's not a bad character at all and did well in school. I don't like to blame one person (as I'm about to do), but Dan Hawkins is completely mismanaging the program. From what I've read, players like Scott are not at all to blame. He would be wonderful at UC.....

Seems like he'd be a great pick up. I hope we can still find someone to help this year.

This year they still have Pead, Goebel and Williams.

Good call. He'd be great for Jones. I feel sorry for the guys at Colorado, their team used to be pretty damn good, but Rick and Dan submarined the program. Lots of talent in Colorado if they find a good coach.

He would be a nice pick up although I'd prefer taking a high caliber HS running back if at all possible. He would redshirt for 2010 and have two years of eligibility remaining. In 2011 Pead would still be the feature back but Scott could take some carries. That would leave one year, 2012, where Scott could carry the load. If nothing else, he gives us a little breathing room since we haven't recruited a RB in the past two years.
The JUCO WR prospect Thompkins is really interesting. He would have two years but would be able to play immediately. It would be ideal to bring him in and redshirt him for a year just because we're so loaded at the WR position. That would give us a great WR corps for 2011 and 12. I'm afraid, though, that the #1 JUCO WR prospect wouldn't exactly be interested in going somewhere in redshirting a year but who knows. It's always a good sign that we're getting these guys on campus, though.

We don't have a RB in 2010 or 2009 recruiting class. Give me a 4th and 5th year player for experience, weight training and pass blocking ability (often what young players miss he most).

I've seen him play also. This guy's a real talent and he's a good calculated risk despite the injuries.

Don't expect to see him in Red and Black.

I thought I heard that the staff decided not to give him an offer after he came to visit. Not sure of the details.

If I remember correctly, he was one of the top 10 recruits in the nation because of his size and his great speed. Then he showed up to Colorado 20 pounds overweight and he just had size. I haven't seen him play much, but I remember reading how he gained the weight after his senior year of football and came to Colorado not the same player he was in high school. He may be a great talent, but I think a lot of people think they're getting a former #1 RB in the country and they're not. He isn't the same RB he was in high school. I believe he was injured quite a bit and had surgery. He's still a big back, but he doesn't have that 4.3 speed he showed in combines and he's injury prone. Getting him would be nice, but nothing to get excited about.
