He also has offers from West Virginia, Ohio, Minnesota, Kent St., Miami, Syracuse and Louisville. Depending on what Big 10 big dogs come barking, I think we have a good shot at him.

To my knowledge, Clark hasn't been offered.

I don't know why Cincy hasn't offered. Could be he told them he wasn't having none of them.

Why would he be coming to spring practice if he told the staff he wasn't interested? My guess is the staff is waiting to see him in camp or they just have other guys rated above him right now. His offers are from mostly lower tier BCS programs thus far so other programs likely want to see more of him before offering as well.

Coming to practice and possibly slow-playing UC is different than saying if you offer me, i'll verbal. Who knows

I saw Clark play last year. He was clearly the best player Finneytown had, but, unfortunately for my alma mater, they were so bad it was hard to tell how good he could be. One thing I could tell for sure is that he's not some overweight slob with his reputation hanging over his belt. He was in good shape. (He had to be, as he played 100% of the snaps on both lines.)

Clark is very high on UC. Now that UC has offered him (happened yesterday) I'd say they will be tough to beat.

That's what I thought at the time of the post. On the thread title it had his name with (Offer) next to it.

Clark picked up a USC offer today...

Interesting. Sounds like a guy we need to focus on keeping inside I-275.

Wow, didn't see that coming. Going to be extremely difficult to keep him in Cincinnati with an offer like that hanging out there. Would make a great statement for our program, though.

I'm absolutely stunned at that USC offer. Had no idea he would get an offer that big before any summer camps.

Totally agree. I think we have a very good shot at both Clark and Kelly. Locking both of those up would be huge for recruiting.

I talked to him recently. Says he's definitely considering UC but didn't seem too enthused about them. OSU is still number one with him but said they've been small talking him too much. Sounded like he liked Tennessee a lot too.

Ugh. Why would he be interested in OSU? They've already got commitments from 4 DL and 4 OL and still want to take a couple more of each. Clark and Kelly are two recruits that Jones and staff need to get.

I doubt OSU offers, and even if they do he would never see the field for them IMO. They have way too many higher quality OL and DL. That would be a horrendous decision on his part.

Tennessee is his current leader from what I have heard. He likes Ohio State too, but no way they offer. They are close to being full and have way better OL and DL on their board.
I'm shocked at the offers he's received.

Say what? I wonder why. No big deal with Clarke but that's disappointing about Daniels. You would think some of these defensive guys would be interested in coming to a BCS school in which they would have a good shot at playing time right away and maybe even start in some cases. I know we are an offensive oriented team but we still field 11 on D, play the games, and go to a BCS bowel if we win the conference. I don't get it.

I'd rather UC not go to a BCS bowel... I think that would be a horrible reward for winning the Big East even though I know UC has not faired well in their last two bowl appearances.
Sorry I couldn't resist.
