Looks like we're fighting an uphill battle. But, Xavier seems to keep the beat going....not to mention OSU and 5 other Big East Teams.

We're going to be in for a loooong year this season. This team just does not have the talent to compete with the teams in the BEast. Syracuse, UCONN, Pitt, 'Nova, WVU, etc. just continue to reload with talent. Unfortunately, our Cats are probably going to have even more trouble scoring the basketball next season. We severely lack a shooter that can stretch the floor.

Yesterday was the first day of the spring signing period right? Then hold off on the "tanking" until we have all scholarships filled.

I am not a doom and gloom kind of guy. But, do you even hear of any rumors of players we're in on? And, by in on, I mean at the top of their list. I see teams like Depaul, Marquette, Missouri, Xavier, etc. who have one or more of the top 150 players. Do you see UC on that list....anywhere?? I guess my frustration is beginning to come through.

I hear ya but I'm holding off my pessimism until everything is in play.

Not to mention the Ohio schools with better looking classes (X, Dayton, O$U).
Mick really needs to add a signature piece to this class, somehow, not just an add-on. If he does not, and he doesn't pull off a Calipari/Williams/Matta type class for 2011, this upcoming season and at least the following season will be loooooong seasons. He did pull Lance out of his butt at the last moment, so I guess I'll hold out hope he can do that again.

We can move up several spots in the Big East Conference with the players we already have.
All the current players have to do is take their games to the level expected of them when they came into the program.
The coaches also need to bring it up a few notches.
All of this can happen.
Bringing in a late signing post and a shooting guard can only help improve the percentages.

There is only one scholarship to fill and I do not see anyone out there that would radically change the prospects of this team for next year. Don't think it is time to completely write off next year, but it is not looking good.

You're correct IF all of that happens which is asking a lot. I really hope it does but the same things were being said around this time last year.
