Yum is the parent company for KFC, thus the name. Could be worse, the original proposal was the KFC Bucket.

KFC alone would be OK, but to throw in the YUM! is an awesome touch.

I wonder why they went with KFC and not Taco Bell...

This is hilarious. The KFC Yum! Center? These naming rights contracts are getting ridiculous.

Yet another recruiting advantage Louisville will hold over UC. Despite its name, I am sure the facility will be first rate and be a huge plus in wooing potential recruits.

Make fun all you want.

UC would love to have the backing of large corporations to throw many dollars their way.

Yum brands is a huge company that I wouldn't mind supporting my program.

It could be Long John Silvers Yum Arena.

Don't imagine it would be Pizza Hut Yum! arena while the football stadium is Papa John's Cardinal Stadium.

Louisville: the epicenter of crappy chain pizza.

Sadly, Taco Bell Arena was already taken (Boise State).

Yup. Who cares about the name? A brand new, 22,000 seat, $250 million arena will be an absolutely monster recruiting advantage. Look at some of these photos. It's an absolutely beautiful facility.

Rick Pitino said yesterday "It is going to be the finest arena built - pro or college - in basketball."

That arena is amazing looking. Great to see in person when UC travels there. Looks like the seating has no bad spots - but I'm sure the worst ones will be for visitors.

Big time arena.
