Kenyon Martin and the Denver Nuggets will be starting their season against the Seattle Supersonics tonight at 10:30. Kenyone will be coming back from his 2nd microfracture knee surgury. He has lost very little and has had almost an entire year to rehab the injury.

Martin could be key in a very strong year for the Nuggets. He is expected to start ahead of Nene and could see a very good year. I doubt that Kenyon will see the offensive numbers he put up in New Jersey, but with Carmelo Anthony and Allen Iverson demanding so much attention I think that he could have a very good year offensively.

Of course the Nuggets are expecting a lot from him on the defensive end. Hopefully this will be the year when he helps contribute towards his max contract from a few years back.

martin had 7 points, 5 rebounds and 3 blocked shots in 18 minutes. They are trying to ease him into the lineup as he gets his endurance up and legs underneath him.

Did you watch the beginning of the game? He was the first to shoot and was fouled right away. While at the free throw line, the announcers talked about UC and his injury here.

I watched it. I have DTV and they have the free NBA pass for a week or so. Brings bad a painful memory sitting in the front row for an automatic win vs St. Louis in Memphis my senior year.

2 microfracture knee surguries will be tough to fully recover from, but he looked good in his limited minutes. The surgury is more common now with Amare and now Greg Oden also having it.

With Martin and Nene the Nuggets have one great player combined right now until they get their legs under them.

Denver fell yesterday, but kenyon is playing well in his few minutes that he is playing. In 22 minutes Kenyon had 9 points, 7 rebs, 1 steal and 4 blocks (avg 2.3 blocks in 20 minutes a game).

They held him out last night. They're taking it nice and slow.
