We have one (1) commit for 2011. Why not more?? If we are waiting on a bunch of 5 star players, we may not have many.

It will take a little longer since Jones didn't have the relationships set up for a couple of years. He is getting in on a lot of the kids later, but I have faith. He recruited better at CMU than Dantionio recruited at UC so I think he will be very good. I have no problem with him going after better players especially seeing the talent difference in the Sugar Bowl.

At this time last year I don't think we had more than 3 or 4 commits for the 2010 class. I think recruiting is going to be great this year.

Several Juniors and Sophomores were at the game on Saturday. Most of them have 10 or more offers and some from big name schools. See the link on the home page.

Butch sounds like he's about 3x the recruiter BK was.

Football recruiting is going slow but we are on some highly rated guys. We have a chance to have a very nice class.

I think many of them are waiting to see how we look under Butch.

I think this is a good point. This season could be crucial with regards to future recruiting. If butch can prove that this program is not going to miss and beat and continue the upward climb, we could start to land some monster recruits! I think he can, and I think we will!

It just seems to me that Jones and Kelly have different recruiting styles. BK seemed to be fine with offering guys early that didn't have any other BCS offers....some guys that could have been available later in the process. Jones seems to have more offers out to guys with a lot of other great offers right now. I have a feeling that it's just going to take time as these kids go on other visits and sort through all of their options.

This is without a doubt the most important season in the history of bearcat sports. Sounds dramatic but everyone in the nation is waiting to see what is going to happen. If we sustain success with BJ we will continue to climb or play at a high level.

If we go 7-5 every assumes it is back to the dumps for UC and we fade off.

It is crucial.
