With Vaughn graduating and Lance moving on, Cashmere has officially become Batman on this team. Yancy will probably get all the pub and covers on magazines, but Cash will determine how good this team will be next year.

Agreed. Cashmere needs to be a leader. I actually think Rashad and Darnell need to step up too.

Point is just one of 6 things we need.
Point guard.
Accurate outside shooting.
Strong inside presence.
Big East coaching skills.

I think the combo of Cash and Parker next year will wow a lot of people.

I also think our shooting will get better...can't get worse can it???

Yancy really is the wildcard for inside presence. But I see Thomas improving and I think Jackson can bang down low too.

I know this is an unpopular opinion, but Mick has gotten better...

Jackson is a freshman, is he not? So, realistically, he cannot be counted on to provide much in the Big East as a freshman. Expecting anything more from him than to spell the other guys briefly is expecting too much.

Well it's eiher him or Biggie...I will choose the unknown.

Not saying to put any stock in McClain, but it is a sad statement that fans would rather put their faith behind and unknown freshman than somebody currently on the roster.

Not really. Every team has that player every once in a while that gets hurt and never really recovers. I really think that if Biggie wouldn't have had bone spurs his freshmen year he would be a different player. Not necessarily a dominant post player but at least servicable.

Wow, lots of differentiators here. Do any teams not need the items on this list?
Please allow me to submit the following items for review:

Ability to make baskets more frequently.
Ability to defend the opposing team.
Grit.
Determination.
Handlebar mustaches.

My vote goes to Davis, Bishop, and Dixon. I think all three of these players will surprise a lot of people next year.

They should step it up. There is no one to watch while standing around doing nothing. A senior needs to step it up.

I will say this, if Larry Davis makes a 3-point shot I will most definately be surprised!

Only way he doesn't make a 3-pointer is if he gets hurt or isn't on the team.

Davis' problem is purely confidence. Hopefully he can find that in the offseason. He is lights out in warmouts and practice.

Didn't he finish the regular season on a 8-9 game run without a shot made, or maybe zero 3pt shots made? That's quite a troubling run for our "3pt marksman".

All-World in practice and warmups is meaningless if he can't get it done at game time.

When Ron Allen was a better perimeter shooter than our designated "sharpshooter", we are in trouble.

Hence the reason I said he needs to find his confidence this offseason.

And you can understand my pessimism about him finding it when he has completed three seasons in D-I and hasn't found it yet.

I don't dislike LD. I just don't have a lot of confidence in him being a scorer for us in his senior year.

Davis shot 35.2% as a SO...not great but still decent

He shot 24.4% as a JR.

As a FR he shot 41.6% from the field. As a SO 36.7%. As a JR 28.9%.

It looks by the numbers and by watching him play that he lost his confidence.

Or his shot selection stinks, Or he's rushing his shot, or he's taking difficult shots against the defense.

Not that Cash is on the same skill level as Satterfield (yet), but with a fairly decimated roster after Kenyon Martin, Dermarr Johnson, Pete Mickeal, Jermaine Tate, & Ryan Fletcher departed, Kenny Satterfield was able to lead us to the sweet 16. Of course, we don't have an All-American 2 guard in Steve Logan--but we have as talented of a supporting cast overall IMHO. My point: a badass point guard fills a lot of gaps--as we all know very well.
