This kid sounds like he is electric fast. His size is lacking though...
I wonder if he is getting so much interest because of his name (grandson of late civil rights leader) or if he really is that good. Rivals said he put up 1100 something yards his JR year but I don't know what kind of competition that was against.

It sounds like Butch is going after RB's real hard this year. All of these kids have a lot of interest and great stats.

After our experiences with a Ralph on this Board, do we really need a Ralph on the team haunting us?

Big Weekend for BJ and Staff. Antonio Poole was schedule to visit this weekend; any word if he actually visited? Could he be next Cat in?
Plus does anyone know the signing of Teague & Abernathy affects Crocket or Poteat?

Atlanta Journal Consitution: "8. The little back with the big name — Ralph David Abernathy IV – has found a home. Better known in these parts as “RDA4,” the 5-foot-7, 165-pound running back committed to Cincinnati over the weekend. Abernathy also had offers from Ole Miss and Air Force, as well as a number of smaller schools.
“I really liked the family enviroment there,” said Abernathy, who visited this past weekend. “And talking to the players and the commitments and the coaches, everybody was talking about winning a national championship and I really liked that.”
After rushing for nearly 2,000 yards as a junior, Abernathy was limited to about 700 his senior season while missing several games with a high-ankle sprain. He said the Bearcats believe he can come in and help them immediately as a kick returner while trying to earn playing time as a running back and slot receiver."

Very excited for this one. We are going to have the fastest skill players in the conference without a doubt. We are taking the WVU approach of undersized speed demons.

Definitely more good news - keep up the good work, Butch! Love the fact people are talking championships and not just winning.

My guess is he ends up in the slot and returning kicks.

Nice article on Rivals about Ralph's grandfather's relationship with MLK. He was by his side when he died.

I realize it's only high school and I don't know the level/quality of the competition, but this kid seems to be able to turn on the proverbial dime, and has tremendous acceleration.

You do but I'd argue it's in the form of another recruit: Ohio's Mr. Football Akise Teague. It won't take more than a few seconds into the highlight real contained below to see why:

I think Abernathy and Teague will give us a big lift on special teams. I know Teague is kind of overshadowed by Poteat but I have a feeling once Teague gets on the field it's going to be hard to keep the ball out of his hands. He's taylor made for our style of offense.
