Any chance they will move this game from 7 to 8 PM. The USF game yesterday was over 4 hours long. If UConn lasts that long, no one will be in 5/3 until the 2nd half!

I also noticed that Fri. and Sun. games are at 8 PM. Perhaps it is at 7 due to WC's travel plans. If so, they may not be able to change it.

WCU plays three games in Cincinnati this weekend, just like we do.

All games are on TV I am told. The WCU game is a hard 7:05 start for WXIX. I work on that crew and got my schedule a few weeks back. The station can only have some many interruptions of the prime time lineup with FOX.

That's just bad planning.

Hopefully we dominate on the ground and keep the clock moving so we can all (or I guess really only about 1/3 of us 13K vs 35K) walk over to the Shoe on a high note just in time for tip-off.

Not sure this is a fair comment. The football game time was not announced until just recently. If the UCONN game would have been at noon, this would be a non issue.

Not sure you can hold it against local Fox 19 if they choose to not wait for ABC/ESPN to announce football game times.

I, for one, am very appreciative of the b-ball contract with Fox. I have partial season tickets (split them with someone else), so it is great to be able to see the games at home that I do not see in person.

According to the official school schedule/website (http://gobearcats.cstv.com/sports/m-baskbl/sched/cinn-m-baskbl-sched.html), all games except Illinois ST (away) and Memphis (home) have some type of TV coverage this year.

I thought I saw that the Memphis/UC game was on ESPN-2? Maybe I'm mistaken, but that's what I thought.

Redbird Arena at ISU, which opened in 1989, seats 10,200. I'm sure there will be more than a few rabid fans in red in attendance that night.

From ISU's web site:

"With nine returning lettermen, including four starters, and nearly 80 percent of its scoring and 63 percent of its rebounding returning from last season, the Illinois State men's basketball team enters the 2007-08 campaign as one of the league's most experienced teams. As a result, the Redbirds were picked to finish fifth in the Missouri Valley Conference Preseason Poll, conducted by the league coaches, media and sports information directors."

I live in the Bloomington/Normal area. The Redbirds have a new coach this year - former Kansas assistant Tim Jankovich, so it will be hard to say what their team will look like. They were mediocre at best last year, but this year their coach has them believing in themselves.

Their best player is Osiris Eldridge a 6'3" sophomore guard from Chicago. He was the Missouri Valley Conf freshman of the year last year. He's a shooter.

I'm planning to be one of the rabid fans in attendance!

I expect Illinois State to be a very tough game. They've got players coming in that are supposed to really help, and they're supposed to be much better this year.

We've got 5 very tough games before we even get into our 18 game BE schedule.
