But this month, Cincinnati has been all over Sanders, with head coach Mick Cronin and newly-signed assistant Darren Savino making a point of being everywhere he’s played this month – including Fordham on Saturday. And there’s new interest from Louisville, whose head coach Rick Pitino had a front row seat during New Heights semifinal game against Expressions Elite
Sanders said he has a visit to Cincinnati scheduled for next week and will likely see more schools in August. He’s in no hurry to make his college choice and has no plans on attending a prep school next year.
Sounds like Savino is already making a splash.

Thanks for posting. Even if we don't land some of these kids, it's good to know Savino is going after it right off the bat.

Sanders sets visit date
Jermaine Sanders, a 6-foot-4 205-pound small forward from Rice High School (Manhattan, NY) is scheduled to take an official visit this weekend to Cincinnati.
The 3-star small forward currently list offers from Cincinnati, Marquette, Rutgers, St Johns, Villanova, Virginia Tech and Pittsburgh.
Sanders has stated in the past that he would wait until the spring to make his college choice. But we are hearing that Sanders could move up the deadline if he finds the right fit before then.

Adam Zagoria on Sanders visit:
Cincinnati coach Mick Cronin and his staff know a thing or two about finding talent in the New York metropolitan area.
Rashad Bishop, who starred at Paterson (N.J.) Kennedy and St. Benedict’s Prep, is a senior. Lance Stephenson was a one-and-done with the Bearcats. And Cronin expects big things this year from redshirt freshman Sean Kilpatrick, a White Plains, N.Y. native.
“He can score 10 points falling out of bed,” Cronin said of Kilpatrick.
The Bearcats also recently got a commitment from Montclair, N.J. native Shaquille Thomas of NIA Prep, the nephew of NBA veteran Tim Thomas and the half-brother of New York Liberty star Essence Carson.
Now the Bearcats are zeroing in on two other local products: Rice senior wing Jermaine Sanders and New Jersey guard Elijah Carter.
After in-home visits with both players, Sanders opted to take his first official visit to Cincinnati this weekend with his mother.
“Cincinnati has done a great job recruiting Jermaine,” said Kimani Young of New Heights. “Jermaine has enjoyed his entire recruitment process but just wanted to get a closer look at Cincinnati right now as well as give his mom an opportunity to visit the school and gauge what Cincinnati has to offer them.”
The 6-foot-5 Sanders, who will contend for New York City and State Player of the Year honors, has no other officials planned, which further underscores how hard Cincinnati has worked.

“It was a great experience for me,” Sanders said. “The student section was going wild. That really put me over the top.”

Watching a few of his highlights, he reminds me a lot of the last great lefty at UC, Pete Mickeal. Neither guy is/was overly athletic, but pretty basketball savvy on the court. Pete though was a better penetrator from day one. If Sanders becomes anything close to Pete I will be overly satisfied. Go Cats!

i believe brother rice is the same hs that kenny satterfield played for back in the day. generally some pretty good competition in the nyc leagues. if pitt and vnova were recruiting him, he's likely a pretty tough hombre.

I think you're right about K-Satt going there. Also, more recently, Edgar Sosa and Kemba Walker.
