What happened to Henry? He was our highest ranked recruit... and now he has just fallen off the face of the earth... where is he? Could we get him next year? He sounded talented...

Didn't enroll because of academics as far as I know.

its likely that he wont be back with us.. may find himself back in divison one in two years if he is lucky.. but thats why wilks left early t ocome play.. which is why the ncaaa should let him play its the reason he came out early.. he has done what he is suppose to

Is he attending a JUCO? Anybody know. I'd be interested to see where he ends up, if he gets his academics in order.

That doesn't clear this up at all. That other thread just states that he was on a teams roster but isn't any more. Any know where he actually landed?

Does anyone know anything about Jason Henry's status? I havent read or heard anything about his recruitment since last year, other than that he is still at Harmony. I know he is highly rated and would think we would still be a good option. Although, we're pretty heavy at SG/SF and brining him would all but force a redishirt or transfer for Wilks. Also, I think we definitely need another post player. A Hobson or Mackey would be great but just ONE of them. I would think we're saving a spot for '09 or a post guy for '08. This is my first post on here, love the site. Any info guys?

Henry may indeed be on his way to being a Bearcat if he can make grades. He would take Aldridge's potential scholarship if he came, Mick told Aldridge from day 1 that if he found a good recruit Aldridge would remain a walk-on.

That's a helluva walk-on to have.

I keep wondering if this team continues to surprise and get the attention of the national media, what kind of impact that will have on unsigned recruits or players who have verballed but not signed their LOI's?

From what I've read Henry is still trying to get his grades together. I did goto Flyin to the Hoops over the weekend and saw Harmony play. We need to get Mackey and Henry here next year. They both have good skills and can score. They both need to put on alot of weight though.

In the Flyin to the Hoops program guide, they listed Henry still committed to UC

I would think another year of prep school would have Henry meeting all of the requirements degree and class wise. Also, I recall right after Huggins firing, Zimpher implementing something like UC "Jump 21" requiring all students, including athletes, to have a minimum of a 21 ACT score prior to acceptance.

Maybe I'm missing something but I remember thinking about how much that would impact our recruiting. Regardless, if she did that has obviously been thrown out the window in regards to student athletes.

Also, just the (OSU) Mullins kid put up over 60pts on someone. Yancy held him to around 16 and outscored him with 26 and 13 boards to go with it. The future is looking real bright.

Yep, we're short on the wing. Only have Bishop, Mitchell, and Wilks in frosh class. Need another 1 (or 2) wings.
