Dixon was on fire. Hopefully he continues his hot shooting into the season. Gaines was also thicker than I expected which im thrilled to see.

Nice win for UC. All who played scored. Dixon talks about team chemistry and sharing the ball in the write up.

Gee, what a "great" article from our favorite Enquirer.

It is great though to see Dixon perform how we all expected him to. This team may have potential this year. Their shooting percentages are very high translating into easy buckets or close to the rim. Very few three pointers. Slashing and passing. It may not be a heavily high talent laden team but if they work together they may just surprise. I might argue the talent though. If some of these players (Gates) live up to their hype and or potential, this could be a good season.

I think the early returns are favorable. We have a whole roster of players who certainly should have the potential to be very good. It has taken some of these players longer than we hoped. You would hope they get it by their Sophomore season. Our guys have taken longer, but maybe it is coming together. This tournament will help immensely.

I thought this would be the Dixon we would see last year, but I think the "Lance" effect may have hurt Dixon like it hurt Deonta. Anyway, I'm starting to get a tinge of basketball excitement back, especially after that football game last night. I hope we take care of business today, and catch a little wave of positive mojo that carries into the season.

Oh man, 9/15 from three. 5 assists and 1 TO from the two point guards. Larry Davis 4/8 from the floor. I could get used to that...

Darnell Wilks leads team w/ 27 minutes, but has 2 points on 1/4 shooting. Hoping he can be a solid contributor this year like we got glimpses of at end of the year.
