From the article from Andy Katz comes this:
6-8 freshman forward Justin Jackson should soon be cleared to play this season after not being certified in time to make the trip to Canada.
Anyone have an idea what's going on here?

He is going through the clearinghouse just like every other freshman has too. The majority of freshman do not get cleared until the early fall before practice starts anyway. Nothing to worry about at all

Not finally, right on time, early even.

The Clearinghouse just could not bring themselves to clear him in time for Canada to get much needed playing time prior to the season. Many people are expecting him to contribute at some point this season and it would have been nice to get him some extra playing time.

Who is expecting him to contribute this year? I for one hope he sees time in mop-up duty and this team does not need to rely on a true freshman to make an impact.

Honestly, I have no idea what this team will be like and who will be the focal points. According to some our main scoring threat will be a redshirt freshman. It's completely up in the air. As long as they win games, I dont care who they're relying on. I see what you're saying, and I think ideally we'd all like the core of this team to be Yancy/Dion/Rashad, but to this point those guys have yet to prove they can take on that big of a role.
