For those of you that did not see the NKU game, you saw essentially the same thing tonight against Belmont. Lazy defense and bad offense. I only got to see the second half tonight, but what I saw was very much a replay of the NKU game. I'll limit my comments since I'll be saying the same thing as then.

I'll leave with a positive though - the freshman will be good...in the future. Hopefully that's around mid-season this year.

yea man they had the game in the first half threw it the game away in the 2nd half...the freshman davis was great but bishop and mitchell really struggled...im hoping it was the jitters that got to them cuz if they play like this its gonna be a long season for UC...cincy will really heavily on these guyz to give them scorers of the bench...bishop went 0-4 wit 1 point while mitchell went 1-6 wit 3 points...i dont think UC had that in mind wen the started the game...i bet they'll rebound tomorrow and play well...first time i seen bishop struggle he'll rebound he's very talented

Very disappointing start to the season. I don't think I have unreasonable expectations, but we've gotta beat teams like this.

Wofford last year. Belmont this year. UC must beat taems like those.

Teams have to play defense to win. No defense, no wins. You need to contest every shot and don't give up too many easy baskets. That certainly didn't happen tonight. Mick will get these guys to play.

Why? Belmont is coming off 2 consectutive NCAA tourney appearances with 4 starters returning.

Because I have not seen anything that has Belmont projected to be in the top 150 in the country. Belmont made the tournament because their conference has to send a team. They were the 2nd best team in their conference last year and lost two of their best three players to graduation.

They made the tournament, but were a 15 seed that lost by 25 to georgetown and lost their better players. This is playing against a UC team with most of its players returning.
