Jason Boswell came into the AAU season with solid recognition around the circuit and interest from numerous division I programs, but no official offers.

After playing superbly with Long Island Lightning Dingle 15U, his school team, St. Patrick’s in Hoop Group’s Team Camp, along with a great individual showing at Hoop Group’s competitive Hoop Group ELITE Camp, the lack of offers is no longer an issue for the rising sophomore.

Pittsburgh and head coach Jamie Dixon were the first to send Boswell an offer, and evidently start a trend.

Rutgers and Houston were the next to issue the versatile 6’6″ forward official offers.

Now, Seton Hall has recieved the memo on Boswell and feel the Brooklyn-native is offer-worthy.

As it currently stands, Pittsburgh, Rutgers, Houston Seton Hall are the four schools to have offered Boswell. Expect the trend to continue during Boswell’s sophomore season at the New Jersey powerhouse.

Jason Boswell, Long Island Lightning (6-6, 2013) G

Boswell, despite being under the radar, has his fair share of basketball connections. The tall guard is the cousin of soon to be Duke standout Kyrie Irving. A rising sophomore at St. Patrick’s, Boswell is very versatile and makes smart decisions on the court. He is still not there with his rebounding to play as a small forward, but look for him to have a role similar to that of Kyle Anderson. The lanky guard is already hearing from Arkansas, Siena, Villanova, Ohio State, and is drawing minor looks from Kentucky. His dream schools consist of Duke and Syracuse. Next year will be a big one for Boswell as he looks to emerge as a household name in New Jersey.
