Joe Lunardi has UC as #9 seed (and not one of the last four in). Also nine other Big East schools.
Finally, some respect.

Wow, so Lunardi must have us going 13-5 in conference, or just about, for that 9 seed. Maybe 14-4? (Using Jerry Palm's logic) :D
Seriously, yeah, it's good to see some recognize this team as tourney worthy at this point.

I could care less about our ooc schedule. How many teams are undefeated right now? It is very hard to avoid any loss and we have so far. It will get tougher but until then, enjoy the ride.

That was awesome.
Seriously though it's good to see respect for the BEast with 10 invites and Marquette on the list of near misses. Also like that we are a 9, the teams that usually win that mnatchup against the 8. Also the more likely victor against a #1 based on past tournaments. Last, he has us ready to advance aginst Duke who ducked us this year with the help of ESPN. (yes I know this is only one persons projection and not the final bracket, but my mind works quickly)

Nothing we have not heard before, but we got a blurb in the 'Reaction to Bracketology' piece by Eamonn Brennan
"Cincinnati, which has gone undefeated thus far, also gets a nod in Joe's bracket. That's as precarious a spot as any in the bracket, however, because the Bearcats have yet to play a team in Joe's current bracket or bubble this season. Cincinnati is going to have to notch a few quality wins if the selection committee is going to take them seriously come March; a too many ugly losses or a bad finish in Big East play will doom Mick Cronin's team in a hurry."

Well, X will definitely NOT be a quality win so here is hoping a great BEast run. 15-0 going to Nova.

I think the addition of 2 teams to the tournament this year bodes well for the BEast. I think it will help overcome the stigma that you can only have 8 teams from the conference in the tournament.

If 60% - 70% of the other big conferences (b10 as an example) can get into the tourney, then there should be 10 teams from the BEast. We should not be penalized for being in a large conference and a very strong conference. After we beat X, if X and or Dayton get an at large bid and UC does not, it shows the prejudice of the selection committee.

SI's dude has us in as an 11 seed. I guess I'll take it.

They're currently somehow in the top 50. A win against them will definitely boost us in the RPI, and I think there will be a perception amongst voters that it's a quality win, unless they tank in the A10. Which, lets be honest, they'd have to be REAL bad to do that.

Like it or not, the low seedings for the ncaa projections are justified. We've not played anyone worth watching and like a previous post, X isn't a quality team either. We're going to be judged by how we fare against the BE. I STILL see a scenario where all we do is take care of business against the low tier teams in the BE and take some against the middle and wind up as a 10 or 11 seed in the tourney. Anyone remember a few years ago Clemson started 17-0 with an atrocious OOC like ours? They didn't make the big dance that year as they completely choked in ACC play.

I guess Mr. Palm thinks we'll win 12 Big East games after all. Has us in as an 8 seed.

Palm: Bracket projections are always based on "as if the tournament started today." I am not predicting how teams will finish the season.
Mentions UC around the 2:20 mark - http://college-basketball-bracketology.blogs.cbssports.com/mcc/blogs/entry/26191645/26844068
That's partly why, Kansas is still a number one seed despite not having beaten anyone better than Arizona and only two teams in the bracket (UCLA and Memphis). Despite that, the Jayhawks are second in the RPI because they have avoided playing very bad teams.
The same is not true of Cincinnati, which I detailed in an earlier post . I have them as a 8-seed, even though the Bearcats crawled into the rankings this week. Voters are begrudginly getting on board, but we'll find out if Cincinnati is for real soon enough. After hosting arch-rival Xavier on Thursday, they play six of eight on the road, and five of those six are against current RPI top 20 teams.

Eggsavier was a quality win.
We know they're down, but the computer numbers suggest otherwise.

You know the schedule is bad when you continually try to pump up a top 100 win.

Hmmm I stand corrected. Must have been very recently that they moved into the top 50. They were hovering in the 70s when I looked last week.

It will be a shame when x finishes second in the a10 and gets into the tourney and UC finishes 8th in the BEast and does not get in. Just a scenario that I see.

not to be a d1ck but Xavier (OH)'s RPI hasn't been in the 70's all year I don't think...they played a pretty decent non-conference sched

They've been in the top 50 pretty much all year. I know, cuz Lance McAllister will update it every few days, and I get pissed at how high they are almost every time. There's been numerous threads on it.
Fwiw, they went up more spots by losing to us and beating SLU (I think?) than we did beating them and losing to Nova. I think they're currently (as of yesterday's update) checking in at number 38.
Shoot even Dayton has been ahead of the 70 mark for a good month or so now. They've been hovering around that 51-59 mark for weeks.
