does anyone think that if a basketball player recruit visited uc on a weekend such as this upcoming one, that it would help.. what i mean is, seeing the atmosphere around campus this weekend could attract even basketball players.. anyone think so?

(As I said back on March 11, 1999) I do.
An electrical football atmosphere definitely helps on fall visits by recruits.

Ohio State does this quite often when they bring in basketball recruits during football season.

my thought was that seeing the hype around campus in support of a good football team would make a recruit think thats the way it will be for a winning basketball team.. which as you mentioned, possibly helps schools like ohio st.

Definitely.
Of course, we better not subject any football recruits to basketball games.

Its pretty standard for major programs to bring basketball recruits in on big football weekends. The goal is to show the player the 'atmosphere' of the campus. Electricity, excitement, etc.

I think its a great idea. It will show how passionate our fans are about our sports programs.

Oh, I thought this thread was about having to buy basketball season tickets in order to get football ones. :)
(just kidding of course)
