Default Marshall adds former top recruit D.J. Hunter to 2011 class

Yet another local recruit who spurned UC and now finds himself at a MAC school.

No loss. I like to think that, had he selected UC, his scholarship would have been pulled after his multiple arrests.

I think the 'Cats have stockpiled enough QBs, so this is just FYI

Mauk may turnout to be good college QB but I'm with you on passing him up. Just seems like he is more a product of his father's imaginative offense than a pure talent.

I don't know. A lot of people said the exact same thing about his brother coming out of high school. That's why his only BCS offer was for Wake. Maty looks to be a little bigger and a little stronger than Ben as well. Now, whether or not he has the 'IT' factor that Ben had is another thing. Ben's been working with him over the last year and has nothing but great things to say about his ability. We definitely need 1 QB in the 2012 class (we've already offered half a dozen including Mauk) and I'd definitely take my chances with a kid named Mauk no doubt about it.

Massa to WR

Didn't know where to put this and didn't want to start a new thread on this former recruit:
