Interesting data.
I think there are 2 things to make from this: 1) The last 3 coaches have all done a tremendous job at developing the talent that they had. All think we all knew this, but this article validates that. 2) One of the reasons UC's ranking is so high is because it's recruiting rating was so low (80). The recruiting rating was based on 2002-2009 so going forward that number should get better, which will make it harder for UC to stay atop the list. --Gary |

Anyone want to save me the time digging for the answer and elaborate how the blogger establishes recruiting class composites? Is this a rolling average based on the recruiting class national ranking from Scout or Rivals or both?
Either way it seems pretty clear this should be fodder on the recruiting trail. It appears, at least according to one obscure sports blog, that UC is very good at either finding diamonds in the rough or turning not-so-top talent into NFL talent.
