ESPN just said that Tim Abromaitis has been denied a 6th year. Also said that they are still waiting to see if Scott Martin will be allowed for a 6th year. http://espn.go.com/mens-college-bask...ear-elgibility

Unfortunate, but it is the same ruling that Mauk received. I would have been hissed if it had gone the other way for the Irish.

Injuries aside, you don't need to be in college for 6 years.

Feel bad for the kid but just like Hazelton (1 play after having to sit out a year after transferring from USC even though USC recruits who left the next year didn't have to sit out at all) and Mauk got screwed out of an additional year for injuries then so should he.
