Default Eric Hicks joins Cincinnati Commondos – for one day

Quote:
Hicks has agreed to a one-day contract with the Cincinnati Commandos to play in their home game on April 28 against the Marion Blue Racers. The professional basketball player, who hasn’t played football since his sophomore year at Dudley High School in Greensboro, NC, will play receiver for the Commandos. "I am looking forward to this new challenge," said the 6-7, 250-pound Hicks. "This will be a new experience for me. It will be my OchoCinco moment."

Hicks, who signed a one-day contract with the minor league squad (it's even more minor league than the Terrell Owens-led Allen Wranglers!), is slated to play in the April 28 home opener against the Marion Blue Racers, and the 6-foot-7, 250-pounder who averaged 15 points and 9.7 rebounds per game during his senior season for the Bearcats in 2005-06 is excited about the opportunity.

In the past year, Hicks has played in Spain, Israel and China, and in that last stop, he averaged 18 points and 11 rebounds per game.
